When countries do terrible things to their own people it is easy to find reasons for everyone to pretend it never happened This doesn t change the past it just leaves a rotten area under everything that comes after There are many examples of this throughout history this just happens to be about the work camps in the former Soviet UnionBeautiful language throughout but not an easy read
